Delmaine Carbonara



Creamy bacon and cheese, a traditional favourite. Associated with fettuccine, Carbonara is delicious on its own with any flat pasta, but also works well with most filled pastas as well.

  • Quick ideas; Use as a general sauce with baked garlic chicken breast, courgettes and yellow squash. Serve over Italian fried rice with chilli prawns. Serve with fried button mushrooms, fresh peas and Mista fettuccine.

Stovetop: Pour the contents into a saucepan. Heat gently until simmering, stirring occasionally. Microwave: Remove lid and place it loosely on top of pottle. Heat on high for 3-4 minutes, stirring once. Caution: Product will be hot.

Canned beans should always be stored in cool cabinets away from appliances that produce heat. Dried beans should be stored in airtight containers and used within one year of purchase. The longer you keep the dry beans, the more moisture they lose. This means that older dry beans take longer to soak and cook compared to younger dry beans.

Often you don't have the  time to soak dried beans overnight and substituting with canned beans is a great option. But remember, dried beans nearyl double in weight and volume when soaked, so the rule of thumb when substituting is used two cans of beans for every cup of dried beans.
